To advance our next generation of soil sensing technology, we are looking for an Embedded Firmware Developer who can build the on-device software that turns hardware measurements into reliable data directly from the field.

]]> Position

As an Embedded Software Engineer / Firmware Engineer, you will take ownership of Linux system development and microcontroller firmware for our soil sensor platform, and work closely as part of our Device Engineering Team. You will implement, optimize and maintain embedded Linux components alongside robust firmware for microcontrollers, ensuring reliable operation across the full device stack.

Your work will involve interfacing SOC/SOM with our boards hosting different sorts of sensor, managing data acquisition, and enabling reliable communication between distributed system components under harsh outdoor conditions.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware and backend/cloud teams to bring integration concepts from prototype to production-ready devices. This includes ensuring stable system behavior, reliable Linux system image and firmware boiling down to robust device functionality. You will implement a robust Linux image as well as microcontroller firmware update mechanism. And with the use of Python, you will simplify complex problems.

Develop and maintain embedded Linux systems using Yocto for ARM-based platforms (e.g. Raspberry Pi and similar SBCs)

Configure, extend, and debug Yocto build environments, layers, and recipes

Support and improve Linux-based system bring-up and debugging on new hardware

Interface embedded Linux systems with microcontrollers

Write firmware that runs on ARM Microcontrollers (e.g. STM32)

Support on hardware related software development using Python

Develop tooling for automation, testing, deployment, and diagnostics

Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and backend/cloud teams

Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving system architecture and maintainability

Solid experience with Linux Distributions

Practical experience with the Yocto Project (building images, modifying recipes, working with layers)

Experience with ARM-based embedded platforms (Raspberry Pi or similar SBCs)

Expert embedded C/C++ knowledge for firmware development

Experience working with microcontrollers (e.g. STM32, ESP32, or similar)

Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces (GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.)

Good knowledge of Python

Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows

Ability to debug complex issues across hardware/software boundaries

]]> Position Hardware / PCB Design Engineer, you will take ownership of the electronic hardware design for our soil sensor system, including sensor interfaces, power management, and communication modules integrated into a rugged metal sensor head. You will design reliable, manufacturable PCBs that integrate optical and electrochemical sensing components, ensuring signal integrity, noise immunity, and long-term durability in harsh agricultural environments.
You will work closely with firmware, mechanical, and production teams to bring electronic designs from concept and schematic capture through prototyping, validation, and scalable manufacturing.]]> You will

PCBA design for manufacturing, utilizing understanding of various manufacturing processes

Power electronics design, Analog, and Digital circuit design, Impedance matching

Schematic creation, prototyping and bringup, reliability, and production.

Schematics capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer

Characterization of in-house designed and off-the-shelf components

Simulation and modeling using circuit simulation tools

Documentation of performed experiments/measurements

]]> You have

Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable Studies.

At least 5-8 years of experience in a similar role

At least 4 years experience with Altium Designer. Impedance Matching, Signal Integrity.

Power electronics experience such as buck boost, flyback, DCDC, BMS, etc.

Experience bringing up and debugging circuit boards

Strong proficiency with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers

Experience with LTspice or other circuit design simulation software is advantageous

Good understanding of different protocols like I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, USB.

Excellent reading, writing, and spoken communication skills

Extremely motivated and excited to take on major responsibility at an early startup
